The Chore coat was born in France in the late 1800s, initially designed for farmers and laborers, it was made of tear-resistant and wear-resistant fabrics, the most recognizable feature is certainly the presence of numerous pockets that allow you to have any type of tool at hand. This aspect favored its use at the beginning of the 1900s also among workers and railroad construction workers. With its arrival in the United States it began to be called Chore coat, literally “hard work” jacket. Our version made of cotton linen, with a canvas weave and garment dyed, gives this model a used look. The metal details with copper finish of the nail button enrich the garment, the rivets reinforce the pocket seams.
