The chest pocket features a horizontal stripe, creating a subtle contrast with the body of the garment. The classic collar, button placket with grey mother-of-pearl fisheye buttons, and straight cuffs define a clean construction. The side slits, adjustable with two buttons, allow the opening between waist and hip to be adapted to different ways of wearing.
The fabric is a lightweight cotton-linen seersucker, steam-treated to achieve a more relaxed, worn-in look.
Originally from India, the term seersucker derives from the words “shir” and “shakar” (milk and sugar), describing its characteristic alternation of smooth and puckered surfaces. This structure, created through varying warp yarn tensions, keeps the fabric slightly away from the skin, enhancing breathability and comfort in warm weather.
