The term \u201ckimono\u201d (\u7740\u7269) literally means \u201csomething to wear\u201d and was originally used to refer to any kind of clothing; today it identifies the traditional garment par excellence.<br \/>\nIts construction is essential: a clearly defined T-shape composed of rectangular elements.
