The Blazer originated with the red “blazers”—the brightly colored sports jackets worn by the rowing teams of St Johnʼs College, Cambridge, in the 1820s. Over the decades, this garment has evolved, adapting to various uses and being made in a range of fabrics—from wool cloth to embroidered silks with fur linings for added warmth. Our version is made from a midnight blue wool flannel with a white pinstripe. The design is inspired by this iconic piece, featuring dropped shoulders, a slightly cocoon-shaped fit, and a long collar, with a length that falls to mid-thigh. The fabric is a warm and compact wool blend, while the pocket and collar details are made from tone-on-tone cotton twill.
