Made and designed in Italy
Soft wool crew-neck sweater with jacquard on top. Inspired by Norwegian sweaters that have a world famous tradition of jacquard designs in the knit. Traditional Norwegian designs are associated with areas and/or islands, each with different designs and geometries, example Fanacofte, Selburose, Lusekofte. The pattern was usually placed on top, with designs of stars, snowflakes, roses, geometries. In the 1940s and 1950s they became very popular in the U.S., with Norwegian skier Stein Eriksen. The yarn of this sweater is a blend of baby alpaca and extra-fine merino wool that makes the garment warm, light, and especially soft.
