The Henley t-shirt was the official garment of English racing crews throughout the 19th century and for the first half of the 20th century, suitable for sport thanks to the particularity of being able to open on the front with buttons. Its name derives from the town of Henley on Thames, famous since 1839 for being the scene of the Royal Regatta, the most famous in England, has acquired the status of an icon of the men’s wardrobe over the years, becoming an indispensable garment that can be adapted to numerous situations heavy open end jersey: the open end jersey is more puffy and irregular, consequently the feel of the jersey is more “rustic” and “raw”, giving a particularly vintage flavor to the garment.
