The henley t-shirt was for the whole of the 19th century and for the first half of the 20th century the official garment of the English racing crews, suitable for sport thanks to the particularity of being able to open on the front with buttons. Its name derives from the town Henley on Thames, famous since 1839 for being the scene of the Royal Regatta, the most renowned in England. Over the years it has acquired the status of icon of the male wardrobe, becoming in fact an indispensable garment and adaptable to many situations.
