The henley t-shirt was the official garment of the English racing crews throughout the 1800s and the first half of the 1900s, suitable for sport thanks to the particularity of being able to open it on the front with buttons. Its name derives from the town of Henley on Thames, famous since 1839 for being the scene of the Royal Regatta, the most famous in England. Over the years it has acquired the status of an icon of the male wardrobe, becoming in fact an indispensable garment and adaptable to numerous situations.
