The combat pant, the best known pocket trousers, were introduced in the British army in the early 1940s, with the pocket on the mid-thigh to hold maps, they were made more efficient by the American army for the paratrooper corps in World War II. Large pockets closed with flaps were perfect to contain the necessary without additional backpacks or bags, the shooting at the knees gave greater comfort, the drawstring on the bottom and the slim fit made them practical and suitable for rough terrain. Vintage55 reissues this historical garment with a super washed herringbone, remaining faithful to the original trousers.
