Melange Hoodie Sweatshirt

In collaboration with our fabric supplier we have studied and created our exclusive Melange Sweatshirt. The inspiration for the construction of the fabric comes from the sweatshirts of the early 1900s, sweatshirts made with special Japanese looms that created a soft fabric, from the diagonal weave, with the loop (the twisted thread visible from the reverse) soft and open. The knitting process requires long production times, making this type of fabric rare and unique.
The melange grey color is given by the weaving of threads of different colors, from raw cotton to various shades of grey, creating the so-called “flames”, that is the evident irregularities that make the fabric alive and each single garment unique; thanks to the loose weave, the sweatshirt is extremely comfortable.
The hooded sweatshirt with zip was created shortly after the crewneck, as a practical garment to wear over sports uniforms. Our hoodie was designed with classic American college sweatshirts in mind, with the metal zip in an “old brass” finish, the coulisse woven in raw cotton and finished with the knot, the characteristic kangaroo pocket is sewn with the classic stitching overlock.
