Varsity-derived cardigan in cob stitch wool/cashmere. The cardigan as a garment has origins in the military field, during the Crimean War, James Brudenell, 7th Earl of Cardigan and major general of the British army, led the light brigade wearing a collarless knitted jacket made of English combed wool. Over the course of history it has taken on various functions, in fact we see it very present in American colleges, used above all as a sports garment to cover oneself from the cold, on which large letters were applied to indicate the college to which they belonged, as well as the colored bands on the sleeves. We have re-proposed this historic garment in a soft and warm wool, in a wool/cashmere blend, with a cob stitch that enriches the garment in the classic way. Navy blue.
