The chambray shirt is another iconic garment in the history of clothing and for Vintage55. The chambray fabric was born in France, supposedly in the 16th century, characterized by the yarn of white threads with the usually blue warp, a very resistant fabric that becomes soft with time and washing, taking a unique look of shades and fading loved by the world of vintage.
This model takes inspiration from the chambray work shirt, built to be practical and resistant thanks to the characteristic double and triple stitching as reinforcement. The two chest pockets are different from each other: one open to facilitate access, the other closed with a flap to store more delicate items. The choice of buttons also takes up those traditionally used in mother-of-pearl with the typical chiselling called “fisheye”.
