The Texan shirt was born in the late 1800s as a work garment, mainly used in cowboy ranches, typically made of resistant denim. When it landed on the big Hollywood screens it became iconic and its distinctive elements such as the shoulder pad called “western” and the chest pockets with pointed flaps began to be recognizable.
