The Texan shirt was born at the end of the 19th century as a work garment, mainly on cowboy ranches, typically made in resistant denim canvas. When it then landed on the big Hollywood screens it became iconic and its distinctive elements such as the shoulder called “western” and the chest pockets with pointed flaps began to be recognizable.
