The Texan shirt was introduced at the end of the 19th century as a workwear, finding wide use in cowboy ranches, typically made of resistant denim canvas. When it then landed on the big screens of Hollywood it became iconic and the shoulder strap called “western” and pockets on the chest with pointed flaps began to be recognizable.
Vintage55 has reinterpreted the history of this shirt by building it with chambray, an ancient fabric born in France, with a yarn of white threads with the usually blue warp. The Texan shirt therefore becomes more comfortable during the summer season, maintaining its characteristics such as the pointed shoulder, the pockets with flaps and the traditional mother-of-pearl snap buttons.
