Rogers Hats is the project of Gino Sorgente — artist, musician, and tattooist with a remarkable sensitivity. Even the name itself embodies the two great passions that drive him: a love for handcrafted felt hats and a deep devotion to music. Far more than just an accessory, in the Rogers Hats philosophy, the hat becomes a true mark of identity, a defining and unmistakable element of personal style. Every single Rogers Hats creation finds its guiding thread in music, an inexhaustible source of creative inspiration, drawing on the dark, melancholic moods of artists like Nick Cave and Mark Lanegan, the raw, sensual energy of PJ Harvey, and the eclectic, experimental sounds of Wilco.Colors, combinations, and finishes are inspired by New York’s artisan workshops and are designed to pay tribute to great icons of the music world, all through a deeply intimate and personal lens. Each hat is crafted entirely by hand, through a slow, multi-step process that takes between five and seven days — from the hand-shaped crown to the meticulous aging of the felt, creating its unmistakable “lived-in” look.
The meeting between Rogers Hats and Vintage 55 came about almost by chance, born from a shared search for inspirations drawn from the past and its greatest icons, as well as a constant focus on selecting high-quality materials and details. A passion for garments and accessories with a lived-in feel, reimagined in a contemporary key to create refined, original, and personality-rich looks, has found its natural expression in this collaboration. From this meeting comes a special limited-edition collection of handcrafted felt hats by Rogers Hats for Vintage 55. For the first time ever, Rogers Hats’ artisanal collections are now available exclusively at a selection of Vintage 55’s retail locations.
We envisioned our collaboration as a refined album made up of nine tracks, ready to be discovered in selected Vintage55 stores in Bologna, Florence, Milan Corso Garibaldi, Rome, Turin, and Verona.
